Yvonne Larson

Yvonne Larson, age 75, of Fosston, MN, passed away on Saturday (December 3rd) at her home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday (December 9th) at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Lengby, MN with the Rev. Mark Faugstad officiating. Interment will be in Cross Lake Cemetery, rural Fosston. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with a 7:00 p.m. prayer service on Thursday (December 8th) at the Carlin-Hoialmen Funeral Home in Fosston. There will also be reviewal for one hour prior to the service on Friday at the church. Arrangements are with the Carlin-Hoialmen Funeral Home of Fosston and messages of condolence may be sent at carlinhoialmen.com.Alice Yvonne Hagen was born on April 12, 1936 in McIntosh, Minnesota to parents Joseph and Harriette (Jorgenson) Hagen. She was baptized and confirmed at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in McIntosh and graduated from McIntosh High School in 1954. Growing up, Yvonne worked at the drug store in McIntosh and the McIntosh Bakery. Yvonne was united in marriage to Rudolph Larson on July 17, 1955 at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in McIntosh. After their marriage, they lived in Fosston where they raised their four children, Randy, Mike, Lorri Ann, and Scott. Through the years, Yvonne worked at the Little Café, Mel's Café, the Forte Café, Fairway Foods, and the Hartz Store, all in Fosston. Yvonne had a smile and kind word for everyone she met. We have always said she is the "Best of the Best." Survivors include her husband of 56 years, Rudolph of Fosston; four children, Randy Larson of Fosston, Mike (Jeannie) Larson of Elko, MN, Lorri Ann (Dean) Hartel of Red Lake Falls, MN, and Scott (Patty) Larson of Lakeville, MN; eight grandchildren, Jeremy (Jen) Larson, Amanda (Everett) Woolen, Travis (Jenny) Larson, Trevor (Tawnia) Larson, Shawna (Tedd) Nelson, Joe (Becca) Hartel, Rachael Larson, and Jeffrey Larson; 12 great grandchildren; five siblings, David (Judy) Hagen of McIntosh, Richard (Karen) Hagen of Minnetonka, MN, Mars (Pam) Hagen of Apple Valley, MN, Deanne (Gordy) Benson of Thief River Falls, MN, and Karen (Pat) Rolf of McIntosh; and sister-in-law, Helen Guldberg of Fosston. Nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents; step-father, Vernon Hanson; brother, Ronnie Hagen; sister, Joanne Carver; and brothers-in-law, Lawrence Larson, Clarence Brustad and Gottfred Guldberg; sister-in-law, Bertha Kittleson and her children, Larry Kittleson and Irene Combs.Honorary Pallbearers: McIntosh V.F.W.
