Yvonne "Vonnie" Johnson, age 65, of Fosston, MN, passed away on Sunday (May 20th) at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, ND. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday (June 2nd) at Hope Lutheran Church in Fosston with the Rev. Paul Magelssen officiating. Interment will be in Hope Lutheran Cemetery, Fosston. Family will greet friends for one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the church. Arrangements are with the Carlin-Hoialmen Funeral Home of Fosston and messages of condolence may be sent at carlinhoialmen.com.Yvonne Kay Johnson was born on June 20, 1946 in Crookston, Minnesota to parents Sidney and Ione (Sheggrud) Johnson. She was baptized and confirmed at Hope Lutheran Church in Fosston, Minnesota. Vonni grew up in Fosston and graduated from Fosston High School in 1964. After attending Bemidji State University for one year, she moved to Minneapolis and attended xray and lab school. Upon completion, she worked for doctors in St. Paul for 23 years. Vonni then attended computer school, becoming a computer technician working for Black Box Company in Minneapolis until retiring in 2011 and returning home to Fosston.Vonni was a lover of all sports especially golf; and an animal lover, especially cats, dogs and horses.Vonni passed away on Sunday, May 20, 2012 at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, North Dakota at the age of 65 years.She is survived by her mother, Ione Johnson of Fosston. She was preceded in death by her father, Sidney Johnson; brother, Craig Johnson; and sister, Deaun VanLiere.
