Walter Lindseth, age 67, of Erskine, MN, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday (April 10th) at his home. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday (April 16th) at Grace Lutheran Church in Erskine with the Rev. Timothy Lundeen officiating. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery, rural Erskine. Family will greet friends for one hour prior to the service on Friday at the church. Arrangements are with the Carlin-Hoialmen Funeral Home of Erskine and messages of condolence may be sent at carlinhoialmen.com.Walter Einar Lindseth was born on May 1, 1942 at the Lindseth farm south of Erskine to parents Einar and Ida (Olson) Lindseth. He attended country school and later graduated from Erskine High School. Walt was a confirmed member of Grace Lutheran Church.Walt was married to Judy Clausen in 1961. In 1976, Walt was united in marriage to Mary (Nelson) Cook. At that time Walt and Mary blended their families of five sons and one daughter, Randy, Paul, and Kelly Lindseth, Randy and Robin Cook and Rhonda (Cook) Sundbom. Walt has eight very special grandchildren. After high school, Walt worked road construction for S & S Construction from Moorhead, Minnesota. He also operated a road blading business for several years. In 1993, Walt established the Lindseth Garbage Service. He operated that business along with his son, Kelly, until the present time. Walt loved RV'ing with his wife, Mary, his kids and grandkids. Walt's grandkids spent many hours with him in his truck on the garbage hauling routes. He had a special place in his heart for each and every one of his grandkids. Walt also spent many happy years as a member of the Lion's Club. Part of those years he served as leader dog chairman for the blind.Walt passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, April 10, 2010 at his home at the age of 67 years.He is survived by his wife, Mary of Erskine; five sons, Randy Lindseth (Teresa Butcher) of Corpus Christi, TX, Paul (Diana) Lindseth of Winger, MN, Kelly (Coriann) Lindseth of McIntosh, MN, Randy Cook and Robin Cook, both of Erskine; and one daughter, Rhonda (Kevin) Sundbom of Buxton, ND. Eight loving grandkids, Amanda, Raquel and Lukas Lindseth, Jessica and Tyler Sundbom, and Tyler, Cassie and Miley Lindseth; brothers, Nels (Ellen) Lindseth and Eivind (Marlys) Lindseth, both of Erskine.He was preceded in death by his parents, Einar and Ida; sister, Ruth; and brother-in-law, Melvin Abrams.
