Wallace Moe

Wallace Moe, age 85, from Fosston, Minnesota passed away on Monday, January 29th at his home in Fosston. Memorial services will be held on Friday, February 2nd at 11:00 AM at Carlin-Hoialmen Funeral Home in Fosston with Rev. John Dalen officiating. Interment of cremains will take place at Brandsvold Cemetery, rural Fosston in the spring, and the Carlin-Hoialmen Funeral Home of Fosston is in charge of the arrangements.Wallace Emil Moe was born March 25, 1921 to parents Oscar and Gina (Berg) Moe. He grew up on a farm near Clearbrook, Minnesota and attended rural school.He served in the United States Navy from December 9, 1944 to April 23, 1946. After his discharge from the service, he returned to Clearbrook to farm with his father. They raised Black Angus Beef. After many years, they sold the farm at Clearbrook and purchased a farm near Fosston, Minnesota and continued to farm. Wally enjoyed farming, raising cattle and horses, and giving sleigh rides and hay rides to area youth groups over the years, and he loved old-time polka music and dancing. He was a member of the Clearbrook Legion for over 50 years and was recently honored for that longtime membership.On Monday, January 29, 2007 Wallace Moe passed away at his home in Fosston at the age of 85 years.Survivors include one brother, Charles "Chuck" (Marge) Moe of Phoenix, AZ; one nephew; two nieces; and several cousins.He was preceded in death by his parents.
