E. Viola Larson Dahlstrom, age 91, of Minneapolis, MN and formerly of Lengby, MN, passed away on Saturday (March 24th) at First Care Nursing Home in Fosston. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday (April 14th) at Epiphany Lutheran Church, 1414 E. 48th Street in Minneapolis.Viola was born July 11, 1915 to Emil and Emma Buness in the Lengby area.Viola was baptized in the Lutheran faith. She attended school in Lengby and Fosston graduating in 1934. She married Lars Bernard Larson. Viola later moved to Lengby where she raised her daughters and ran her beauty shop. When her children were grown she moved to the Twin Cities area to work. She married A. Raymond Dahlstrom in 1969. She lived in Minneapolis until illness forced a move to a nursing home. Viola had a lifelong love of reading, needlework, music, and she followed her soap opera for 40 years. For years Viola has gifted her lovely crocheted needlework to family and friends for Christmas and birthdays. Viola passed away peacefully in loving care at the First Care Nursing Home in Fosston on March 24, 2007. She is survived by her devoted daughters, Wilma (Orville) Richter, Shoreview, MN; Elaine (Gary) Bergman, Anchorage, AK; Sondra (James) Fauk, Torrance, CA; 11 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, and 6 great great grandchildren. Also 1 sister, Joyce Suckow of Fosston and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Ray, and 2 nephews.
