Twyla Brown

Twyla Brown, age 42, of Thief River Falls, MN and formerly of Fosston, MN, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday (April 3rd) at her home. Funeral services will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday (April 9th) at Hope Lutheran Church in Fosston with the Rev. Paul Magelssen officiating. Interment will be in Hope Lutheran Cemetery, Fosston. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the church. Arrangements are with the Carlin-Hoialmen Funeral Home of Fosston and messages of condolence may be sent at carlinhoialmen.com.Twyla Dawn Klinke was born on February 9, 1969 in Wrangel, Alaska to parents Donald and Juliann (Aspen) Klinke. She was raised in Fosston and attended Fosston Public Schools. Twyla was married to Keiron "Duffy" Brown on August 12, 1988. To this union, four children were born, Amber, Dustin, Trevor and Cheyenne. She moved to Thief River Falls, Minnesota in 1998. She and Tracey Larson owned and operated a restaurant and food wagon until selling the business in 2006. Twyla attained her Certified Nursing Assistant license and worked in Thief River Falls providing home health care. Most recently, she was employed at Valley Home as a C.N.A. and in housekeeping.Twyla enjoyed fishing, hunting, four-wheeling, Nascar races, and computer games. She also enjoyed kids, especially Jocelyn, Shaela and Kennedy (Ethan). Her number one hobby was spending time with her family. She will be truly missed.Twyla passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, April 3, 2011 at her home in Thief River Falls at the age of 42 years.Survivors include her children, Amber Brown, Dustin Brown, Trevor Brown, Cheyenne Brown, and Hailey Larson, all of Thief River Falls; her long-time companion, Tracey Larson of Thief River Falls; her mother, Juliann Klinke of Thief River Falls; step father, Dale Moody of Kokomo, IN; siblings, Lorentz Klinke of Lengby, MN, Tammy Traaseth of Fosston, Crystal Moody of Thief River Falls, Travis Moody of Thief River Falls, and Rowa Sherer of Thief River Falls; half sisters, Kim and Terri; and her loving family dog, Fez. Nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and other family also survive. She was preceded in death by her father, Donald Klinke; past husband, Kieron "Duffy" Brown; sister, Misty Rose Sherer; grandparents, Lorentz and Edith Aspen and Agda Margeret and Allan Wesley Klinke; mother-in-law, Carol Larson; and step son, Johnathon Larson.
