Trandem Lee Kappedal was born on December 31, 1989, in Fosston, Minnesota to Shawn Kappedal and Connie Arnold. He grew up in Fosston and graduated from Fosston High School in 2008. During high school, Trandem was active in both football and wrestling, but football was his love.

During and after high school, he worked at Palubicki’s. He was currently working for Nathan Pederson setting mobile homes, primarily for Homark Homes. He was married to Samantha Abraham on January 28, 2017. After their marriage, they purchased a home in Clearbrook, Minnesota. In addition to his full-time work, Trandem did some miscellaneous trade and carpentry work and along with Sam he utilized his talents to complete a remodel on their home. He was always one that liked to do or fix things himself.

Trandem lived for hunting, fishing, and basically anything that had to do with the outdoors. He also liked playing pool with family and friends. You could say he was a collector of sorts, his favorite collection was his knives that included brands such as Ka-Bar, Buck, Uncle Henry and Ruko. He also had quite a collection of Zippo lighters. He knew what he liked and would purchase often in triplicate or more; one to use and a few to keep or gift. You knew he loved a hat if he purchased one to wear and one for spare. He will be remembered for being a loyal and compassionate friend and an extremely hard worker. Trandem always lent a helping hand to anyone in need. If Trandem said it; he meant it! He will be remembered for his fun-loving nature, great sense of humor, memorable laugh, unlimited supply of one-liners and his ability to work a movie line into his conversations. Trandem had such a beautiful smile that would light up his eyes, he is dearly missed.

Survivors include his wife, Samantha, of Clearbrook; his parents, Shawn and Connie of Fosston; brother, Kaden Kappedal (fiancé, Rebeka Ware) of Fosston; grandparents, Berendt “Junior” and Diane Kappedal of Lengby, MN, and Linda Arnold of Fosston, Godson Landen Benson of Grand Forks, ND. Numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family and many friends also survive.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Richard Arnold; and aunt, Carol Arnold.
