Tom was born at the Fosston Hospital on June 28th, 1954. At the age of nine he was involved in an accident where he sustained a head injury, this resulted in a lifetime of seizures which were largely controlled by medications. He lived with his parents Jerry and LaVerne Jesness for many years while being employed at Palubicki's Grocery Store as a grocery stocker and carryout. He moved into the Town Square apartments after his mother suffered a stroke which resulted in her residing at the Fosston Nursing Home until her passing. After many years Tom's health deteriorated and he was no longer able to carry out his duties at Palubicki's Grocery Store. When it was determined that he needed more help with his daily life, he moved into the Cornerstone residence in Fosston.
He is survived by his sister, Janet Dale, and her husband, Jim, of Northfield, MN. Plus nieces, Kristine Beale and Karen Boardman and nephew, Adam Jahnke. He is preceded in death by his parents, Jerry and LaVerne Jesness, sister, Liz Jahnke Metz and nephew, Eric Dale.
Janet and Jim are very grateful for the wonderful care he received while living at Cornerstone. Also the staff at the Fosston Hospital and Essential Home Care and Hospice.
