Sharon Lund

Sharon Lund, age 72, of Trail, MN, passed away on Friday (November 23rd) at her home following a courageous battle with cancer. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday (November 28th) at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Oklee, MN with Father Chuck Huck presiding. Interment will be in St. Charles Catholic Cemetery, Trail. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with a 7:00 p.m. prayer service on Tuesday (November 27th) and for one hour prior to the service on Wednesday. All visitation will be held at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Oklee. Arrangements are with the Carlin-Hoialmen Funeral Home of Fosston and messages of condolence may be sent at carlinhoialmen.com.Sharon Rae Pladsen was born on June 2, 1940 in Gully, Minnesota to parents Leonard and Barbara (Schneider) Pladsen. She grew up north of Gully and was baptized and confirmed at St. Charles Catholic Church near Trail, Minnesota. She attended the Gully School through the eighth grade and graduated from Gonvick High School in 1958.Sharon was united in marriage to Lyle Lund on June 9, 1958 at St. Charles Catholic Church. After their marriage, they raised their family and farmed on the Lund family home farm near Trail. Sharon was the Clerk of Gully Township for many years and was currently the Supervisor for Gully Township. Sharon was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Oklee and Trail V.F.W. Auxiliary Post #6426. She enjoyed farming, crocheting, polka music and had a good sense of humor. She was a person who was always willing to help someone in need or to lend a hand. Most of all, Sharon enjoyed spending time with her husband, her children and grandchildren. She truly loved her family and will be dearly missed.Survivors include her loving husband of 54 years, Lyle of Trail; three children, Barbara (Ed) Sellers of Gully, MN, Lyla (Todd) Broadwell of Willmar, MN, and Ryan Lund of Trail; son-in-law, Billy Bushelle of Lengby, MN; nine grandchildren, Steph (Matt) Hoffman, Kelly Bushelle (Nikki Johnson), Kyle Bushelle, Jaime (Sam) Sellers, Shawn Bushelle (Brandi Coyer), Kristin Sellers (Dustyn Bellefy), Nathan Sellers, Alex Broadwell, and Cody Broadwell; five great grandchildren, Alise, Hayden, Chloe, Cierra, and Levi; two sisters, Marian Weber of Gully and Geraldine (Vincent) Agnes of Gully; sister-in-law, Pat Finseth of Thief River Falls, MN.
