Sedona Fossand

Sedona Fossand, age 77, of Fosston, MN, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, October 5th, at her home. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, October 14th, at Clearwater Lutheran Cemetery, rural Oklee, MN with the Rev. Mark Richardson officiating. Sedona Fossand (Reindahl), 77, of Fosston, passed away at her residence on October 5th, 2024. Born on October 3rd, 1947, in Sheridan, Sedona was the youngest daughter of Sidney and Hedwig Reindahl.

Sedona graduated from Embarrass High School in 1965 and went on to earn her master’s degree in Education from the Bemidji State University. It was during her college years that she met Jerry Fossand. They married on July 17th, 1971 and raised three children. 

A dedicated educator, Sedona spent 20 years caring for students. She enjoyed reading, learning new things, baking and cooking, and hosting family gatherings. Sedona was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. 

She is survived by her children Darryn (Dana) Fossand, Dana (Adriaan) Louw, and Erica (Jenna) Fossand-DeFeyter; grandchildren: Joshua (Mariah) Fossand, Alex (Joshua) Bernardy, Justin Fossand, Wyatt Erickson, and Jake Erickson. She was preceded in death by her parents, older sister Cheryl Hastings, and younger brother Gene Reindahl.
