Ruth Freyholtz, age 68, of Bejou, MN, passed away on Monday (July 23rd) at Essentia Hospital in Fosston. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday (July 28th) at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Bejou with the Rev. Aage Carlsen officiating. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Friday (July 27th) and for one hour prior to the service on Saturday morning. All visitation will be held at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Bejou. Arrangements are with the Carlin-Hoialmen Funeral Home of Fosston and messages of condolence may be sent at carlinhoialmen.com.Ruth Ann (Warner) Freyholtz, the daughter of Walter and Mabel (Marshall) was born on April 26, 1944 at home in Redwood County, Minnesota.Ruth was the youngest of 4 children, as a young adult her primary goal was to take care of her mother after her fathers death. She had many odd jobs working as a waitress and detasseling corn until she was united in marriage to Gene Freyholtz on November 21st, 1964 in Redwood Falls, MN. To this union 2 daughters were born. Ruth then started working on the factory line at Control Data in southern Minnesota until moving to the Freyholtz farm in rural Bejou in 1978.Ruth worked side by side with her husband Gene on the farm and also worked part time as a cook at the Bejou Cafe until the late 80's when they decided to stop farming, at that time she went to work at Marvin Windows in Warroad, MN. In the early 90's Ruth started working at the Shooting Star Casino and was still currently working there till the time of her death.Ruth loved spending time with her friends and co-workers that she had made over the many years working at the Shooting Star Casino. She spent most of her free time going out for supper and to all the entertainment shows the casino offered. There wasn't anything more dear to her than the friends she had made over the years.Ruth is survived by 2 daughters Teri Freyholtz of Bejou, MN, and Lori Lindseth of Albuquerque, NM; Grandchildren Tyler of Grand Forks, ND, Jenna & Shanna of Bejou and Nikita of Albuquerque, NM, Two brothers Robert (Karne) Warner of Pullman, WA and Art (Delores) Warner of Redwood Falls, MN and many nieces and nephews.
