Rosemary Matheny

Rosemary Matheny, age 76, from McIntosh, MN passed away on Monday, April 18th at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, ND. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 23rd at 11:00 AM at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in McIntosh with Rev. Ryan Rasmussen officiating. Visitation will be held for one hour before the funeral at the church, and interment will be at Fairview Cemetery, rural Erskine, MN. The Carlin-Hoialmen Funeral Home serving McIntosh is in charge of the arrangements. Rosemary was united in marriage to Ronald Matheny on March 26, 1954. During their 49 years of marriage they were blessed with 10 children. Needless to say, she was a full time stay at home mom. She enjoyed the simple pleasures of life such as taking walks, watching the humming birds out the window, the woods, watching comedy movies, and collecting rocks and marble's. When she would visit her daughters, she enjoyed cleaning their homes when they weren't looking or moving their furniture around! She never liked seeing things sit in the same place for too long. She was always ready to help her children in any way she could, and was always bringing treats for our pets. She had a great love for animals. At 76 years old her zest for life never faded. She continued to do what she wanted, & when she wanted, whether her children agreed or not. She was very strong willed to the very end. Rosemary Lee Matheny passed away on Monday April 18, 2011 at age 76 years. She is survived by her 10 children; Patricia Wright, Tommy Matheny, Sally Hand, Nelson Matheny and his wife Tammy, Chrystal Pace and her husband Todd , Jean Rasco and her husband Johnny, Harold Matheny and his wife Mary, Rhonda Pawlitschek and her husband Curtis, Brenda Spears, Robin Ellithorpe and her husband Craig, and one sister Ellen Yoho. Grandchildren: Ambrose Anderson, Jesse Anderson, Quinten Anderson, Geneva Ellithorpe, Jessica Ellithorpe, J.J. Wright, Patrick Wright, Nikki Wright, Amanda Dugger and her husband Jonathan, Brandon Rasco + 17 more grandchildren. Great Grandchildren: Kiersten & Ashton Anderson of McIntosh + 23 more out of state. Plus many nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Ronald Matheny. Her parents Brooks & Gorda Gould. Her sister Dolores Garrison. Two grandchildren Jonathan Rasco & Bonnie Fowler and two great grandchildren Dustin Brown and Georgy Aiello. 3 son in laws Randy Spears, Lucky Fowler and Scott Anderson, and granddaughter in law Cassandra Anderson.
