Rose Frances Mollin (née Ferrara), age 92. Rose passed away peacefully surrounded by family on the 11th day of October, 2009.Her parents, Arcangelo and Lucretia Ferrara, emigrated from Palermo, Sicily arriving at Ellis Island, New York on February 24, 1906.Rose, along with her nine brothers and sisters, was raised and educated in Chicago, she graduating from high school in 1934. In 1936, during the midst of the depression, Rose was employed on a very part-time basis at the Featheredge Rubber Co. There, she spied a young man to whom she took a fancy. He, too, saw this lovely young lady, introduced himself and subsequently asked for her hand. Dick and Rose married in 1937, remained in the Chicago area raising three boys, Alfred, Richard Jr. and Charles.Dick passed away in 1986 as did her oldest son, Alfred, in 2004. Rose leaves behind sons, Rick (Cheryl) of Gonvick, MN and Charles (Miriam) of Harwood Heights, IL; four grandchildren and six great grand children. She is also survived by her remaining sister, Marge, age 90 and brother Joe, age 100, many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and loved ones.She was a wonderful and loving mother.
