Roger Black, age 58, from Red lake Falls and formerly from McIntosh, MN passed away on Monday, September 10th at his residence in Red Lake Falls under the care of hospice. Memorial services will be held on Friday, September 14th at 11:00 AM at the McIntosh Community Center in McIntosh with Rev. Dale Mellgren officiating. Interment of cremains will be at Greenwood Cemetery in Bemidji, MN, and the Carlin-Hoialmen Funeral Home serving McIntosh assisted the family with arrangements.Roger Arthur Black was born on July 19, 1954 to parents Winfield and Viola (Binkley) Black in Bemidji, MN where grew up and attended school. Roger was married to Judy Anderson. He worked most of his life in the McIntosh, MN area as a mechanic, worked several years for Joe's Auto in Erskine, MN and was well known in the area for his mechanical expertise. Roger enjoyed hunting (especially deer hunting), and snowmobiling and fishing with his friends and family. He enjoyed his family, and was a good man ready to help his family and friends at a moments notice. Roger was loved, and will be missed by all.On Monday, September 10, 2012 Roger passed away at his residence in Red Lake Falls, MN under the care of hospice, at the age of 58 years.He is survived by two daughters, Sherrie Vedbraaten of Red Lake Falls and Samantha Black of Thief River Falls, MN; one son, Chad Neison of Mahnomen, MN; six grandchildren; his father and step-mother, Winfield and Phyllis Black of Bemidji; and two brothers, Doug and Leon Black both of Bemidji.He was preceded in death by his mother, Viola Black.
