Robert "Bob" London, age 82, of rural Fosston, MN, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, February 11th at his home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, February 19th at 11:00 AM at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Fosston with Father Dave Super presiding. Visitation will be held on Monday, February 18th from 5:00 to 7:00 pm with a prayer service at 7:00 pm at St. Mary's Catholic Church, and there will also be reviewal for one hour before the funeral at the church on Tuesday. All services are at the church. Interment will be at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Fosston, and the Carlin-Hoialmen Funeral Home of Fosston is in charge of the arrangements. He attended school through the 8th grade at Bejou and graduated from Mahnomen High School in Mahnomen, MN. After graduation Bob served in the United States Army. After the service he worked for J.W. Craig Construction in Minneapolis for 10 years then worked for his father's construction company as a blade and dozer operator. Later started his own company, Robert C London earth moving & land clearing.On December 4, 1971 Bob was married to Helen (Harthun) Larsen, along with her four children, Roger, Geraldine, Becky and Joann. On December 9, 1972 their son, James was born.After retirement Bob worked at the D & G Lounge in Bejou for years, was a life member of the VFW in Bejou, and was a past Bejou City Council Member. He enjoyed working in his shop; woodworking and tinkering, and always had the coffee on and enjoyed visiting with people.On Monday, February 11, 2013 Bob passed away unexpectedly at his home in Heier Township, rural Fosston, MN at the age of 82 years.He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Helen of rural Fosston; son, Jim (Jamie) London of Fosston; step-children, Roger Larsen of Fosston, Geraldine (Roger) Dahl of Mentor, MN, Becky Johnson of Winger, MN and Joann (Dave) Nelson of Thief River Falls, MN; 10 grandchildren; 27 great grand children; two great great grandchildren; three brothers, Jim (Sally) London, Joe (Joyce) London and Steve (Barb) London; seven sisters, Mary Ann Geldaker, Ellen (Lloyd) Eastlund, Teresa (Roger) Lehne, Margaret (Dieter) Von Haefen, Cathy (Reuben) Hillstad, Susan Rudquest and Dotty (Allan) Neisen; and many nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his parents; granddaughter, Sarah Johnson; grandsons, Roger Allan Dahl and William "Billy" Johnson; sister, Linda Varty; and brothers-in-law, Jim Varty and Bill Geldaker.
