Richard Stier

Richard Stier, age 89 from McIntosh and formerly from Rochester, MN passed away on Sunday, January 20th at Essentia Health Hospital in Fosston, MN. Memorial services will be held at a later date at Madonna Towers in Rochester and interment of cremains will be at St. Finbarrs' Cemetery in Grand Meadow, MN. The Carlin-Hoialmen Funeral Home serving McIntosh is in charge of the local arrangements.Richard Alvin Stier was born on September 13, 1923 in St. Paul, MN to parents Alvin and Marcella (Armstrong) Stier.Survivors include one daughter, Judy Conley of McIntosh; one son, Gary Stier of Austin, TX; six grandchildren, Charity (Todd) Edson, Lisa (Michael) Barnum of McIntosh, Joshua (Haley) Stier, Jonathan Stier, Hannah Stier and Kylie Stier; three great grandchildren, David Conley and Savanna Nelson of McIntosh and Zaiah; seven brothers and sisters; and many other relatives.He was preceded in death by his wife, Dale Stier; and son-in-law, Mike Conley.
