Richard Allen Nordean Miller was born on December 6, 1942 in McIntosh, Minnesota to parents Alvin and Gladyce (Salvhus) Miller. He grew up on a farm in Hill River Township and graduated from Fosston High School in 1960.
Richard was united in marriage to Lynette Johnson on December 16, 1961 at Vernes Lutheran Church in Hill River Township. After their marriage, they lived in Fosston and he worked at Fairway Foods until moving to the cities.
Richard has worked many jobs, but the longest was as a Plant Manager at Control Data in the cities; and evenings were spent working for Witte Trucking. Working for Nortech in Bemidji brought him back north, where he also farmed. After he retired, he worked for Ordean Sundrud at the Dehydration Plant in Trail and Fosston. He also spent time working at the Fosston Radio Station.
What he enjoyed most was farming north of Fosston on his family farm. He retired and moved to Fosston, into the house that his grandfather, Oscar Miller, had built.
Richard went home to be with his Lord and Savior early Monday morning, April 24, 2023 at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks at the age of 80 years.
