Reuben Berglund, age 91, of Bagley, MN, passed away on Wednesday, July 6th, at Cornerstone Nursing and Rehab in Bagley. A memorial graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, July 18th, at Our Savior’s Lutheran Cemetery at Ebro Corner with Jeanne Rains officiating. Military Honors will be provided by the Spring Lake V.F.W. Post #2759 of Lengby and the National Guard Honors Team. Reuben Lemuel Berglund was born on October 1, 1930, the son of Conrad and Lillie (Hemry) Berglund in Columbia Township, rural Bagley, Minnesota. Reuben grew up and attended country school in Columbia Township.
Reuben served in the United States Army, stationed in Germany, from 1954 until 1956. After receiving his honorable discharge, Reuben did farming for most of his life. He also enjoyed mechanic work, hunting, gardening, and brewing a good cup of coffee. Reuben also dearly loved his fur baby, Sparky, and his cats.
He is survived by one nephew, Brian (Traci) Ohren of Lengby; three nieces, Laurel (Matthew) Steen of Marshall, MN, Rhonda (Scott) Oien of Fosston, and Joanne (Tim) Balstad of Fosston; one great nephew and four great nieces; and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Conrad and Lillie; brother, Orland; and sister, Mary.
