Raymond Larson, age 65, of Fosston, MN, passed away on Thursday, July 21st. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 13th, at the Carlin Funeral Home in Fosston. Family will greet friends for one hour prior to the service on Saturday (August 13th) at the funeral home. Raymond Nolan Larson was born on February 1, 1957, in Whittier, California to parents Dudley Larson and Marilyn (Covert) Brtek. Their family moved to Fosston in 1966. Ray worked in the Fosston Blacksmith Shop under his dad’s teaching. He then worked as a welder for several years for Stenberg Welding in Fosston. He later moved back to California.
Over the years, Ray worked for several manufacturing companies setting up servicing production lines. This work gave him the opportunity to travel around the United States and Europe. He retired in 2019 and move back to Fosston.
Ray enjoyed various outdoor activities, including four-wheeling, fishing, and hunting.
Survivors include two sons, Sean (Connie) of England, AR, and Daryl of Lengby, MN; six grandchildren, Damian Chavarria, Melissa Chavarria, Angel Chavarria, Ana Larson, Alyssa Larson, and Abigayle Larson; two great grandchildren, Hope Mitchel and Zackary Mitchel, Jr; two brothers, Roy (Debbie) of Eastlake, OH, and Jim (Denise) of Moorhead, MN.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
