Randolph Everett Myhrum was born on April 16, 1926 to Redvold and Ella (Osmonson) Myhrum in Fosston, MN. He was baptized and confirmed at Froen Lutheran Church of rural Fosston, MN. His grandfather, Paul Myhrum who immigrated from Froen, Norway was a founding member of the church. He enjoyed a wonderful home life on the family farm, in the winters traveling by horse and sleigh or skiing to country school (Cloverdale Country School). He graduated from Fosston High School with the Class of 1944.

After graduation, Everett enlisted in the US Navy in the summer of 1944, he did training in Whidbey Island, Washington and did a tour of duty on the USS Markab. When he returned, he attended Dunwoody Technical Institute in Minneapolis, MN. While in the Twin Cities, he met the love of his life, Joyce Jacob. They were married in 1950 in Menahga, MN. They moved to Fosston, MN where Everett established his business- Fosston Plumbing & Heating and raised their family.

He was a volunteer firefighter for 25 years. He was a member of the American Legion. Everett was an amazing, kind and patient father and loved his family. It was a happy home, with lots of laughter and good times. He built a family cabin on Island Lake where they enjoyed many fun times all year long. He loved to fish and enjoyed many hours on the lake. He enjoyed watching the MN Twins and Vikings. They took a family vacation every summer and a few long distance trips by car. He bought x-county skis for the family and that was a fun winter activity. He cared for his wife, Joyce faithfully when she had health issues and they had a happy marriage of 63 years. It would have been their 70th wedding anniversary on the day of his passing.

Everett and Joyce enjoyed volunteering and helping others. They loved having people over for a meal or to stay for the night. They were known for their delicious breakfasts with Everett helping Joyce in the kitchen. They helped deliver Meals on Wheels and serving at their church. Everett was a member of Poplar Lake Lutheran Church. A special joy for them was helping to build new churches with the Builders for Christ ministry. He was a member of the Gideon's International ministry and had a deep faith and reverence for God. He also helped with many home projects for his children and was an excellent wood worker. There are many treasures he made for his family, beautifully crafted from wood.

He moved to Poplar Meadows Senior Living in McIntosh, MN in 2016 and enjoyed his new home, new friends and their weekly Pinochle games. It was a special blessing to be with friends during this Covid year.Everett left a legacy of faith, integrity and kindness. "But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord."- Joshua 24:15
