She was baptized at Central Lutheran Church in Minneapolis. Her family lived in Minneapolis, Mahnomen and Nashwauk, MN before settling in Erskine, MN in 1955. Paulette was confirmed at Rodnes Lutheran Church. She graduated from Erskine High School in 1968. She attended Interstate Business College in Fargo, ND after which she began a long career at Cass County Juvenile Court. Paulette retired in 2006.Paulette and David Talge of Erskine were married in September of 1969 and lived in the Fargo-Moorhead area where David earned his college degree at Moorhead State College. Sadly, David's life was cut short by cancer in 1971.Happily, Paulette met Roger Moe of Union Lake, Erskine in 1987 and they were married June 27, 1992. This June they celebrated their 25th anniversary with a large gathering of family and friends at their home and Little Norway Lutheran Church. Most of Paulette's adult life was troubled with serious illness. A cancer survivor for over 30 years, she never let it deter her from living a full vibrant life. This led Paulette to be involved with the East Polk County Relay for Life where she set records for fundraising for the American Cancer Society. She especially loved to travel with Roger and on occasion that included other family and friends. They visited Norway, Italy, France, Spain, Japan, Taiwan, Iceland, England, Scotland, Mexico, Monaco, Canada and most of the US states.Paulette loved family and her life was enhanced with three- her own, David's and Roger's. She also had many wonderful, lifelong friends. She felt blessed and grateful to be loved by so many and for all the opportunities to spend time with them. Paulette and Roger loved to entertain in their home on Union Lake which they built in 2001. The best times were the weekends and weeks when their grandchildren came to stay with them. They could explore the woods, learn to water ski, help Grandpa and be spoiled by Grandma. Many holidays and events were celebrated where all were welcome to enjoy the beauty of the lake and their generous hospitality.A game of cards, a good book, a glass of champagne, the music of Elvis, lobster on New Years Eve and planning travel adventures brought happiness and Paulette's Christian faith brought joy. She was an active member of Rodnes Lutheran Church and presently Little Norway Lutheran Church. She enjoyed meeting with her church circle group and being involved in her church community. Her love of God enabled her to sustain a hopeful spirit, an inner peace and a remarkable resilience.Paulette is survived by her husband, Roger; her mother Pat Dorr; sisters Kathy Nornes (McIntosh) and Teri Newman (Edan Prairie, MN); her nephew Garrett Nornes, nieces Rachel (Tom) Laing, Tonya (Damon) Slaikeu and Ashley Newman who were like her own children.
