Pam Simonson, age 54, of Fosston, MN passed away on Thursday, August 16th in McIntosh, MN as the result of a traffic accident. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 21st at 11:00 AM at Kingo Lutheran Church in Fosston with Rev. John Dalen officiating. Visitation will be held on Monday from 5:00 to 7:00 PM with a prayer service at 7:00 PM at Carlin-Hoialmen Funeral Home in Fosston and for one hour before the funeral at the church. Interment will be at Kingo Lutheran Cemetery in Fosston, and the Carlin-Hoialmen Funeral Home of Fosston is in charge of the arrangements.Pamela Anne Mackin was born on April 4, 1953 in St. Paul, MN to parents Donald and Laura Ann (Mumm) Mackin. She grew up in St. Paul, and in 1971, graduated from Kellogg High School in Roseville, MN. In 1975, she graduated from Moorhead State College in Moorhead, MN.Pam was united in marriage to Mark Simonson on August 31, 1975 at the Hedman Farm at McIntosh, MN. They made their home at Fosston, MN. She was a cook at First Care Hospital and Nursing Home in Fosston, and at Pioneer Memorial Care Center in Erskine, MN. Currently, she was working for Tri-Valley Housekeeping of Crookston, working in the Fosston area, and she was also a special needs provider. In 2004, Pam graduated from Northwest Technical College in Medical Records.Pam was involved with Girl Scouts throughout her life and was a camp counselor while in College. She was an active member at Kingo Lutheran Church in Fosston participating in Church Choir and Chime Choir , WELCA, and teaching Friday School. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, crafting and swimming. Pam especially enjoyed spending time with and caring for her grandchildren, Emma and Ava.On Thursday, August 16, 2007 Pamela Anne Simonson passed away at McIntosh, MN at the age of 54 years as the result of a traffic accident.Survivors include her husband, Mark of Fosston; daughter, Sherry Simonson and Justin Frank of Fosston; two granddaughters, Emma Joe Vig and Ava Anne Frank of Fosston; brother, Terry (Judy) Mackin of Bloomington, MN; sister, Sharon (Toni) Lewandowski of Hastings, MN; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Don and Mary Ann Simonson of Fosston; as well as many other relatives.She was preceded in death by her son, Joe in 2000; her parents and her grandparents.
