Orlean Agnes

Orlean Agnes, age 75, of Fosston, MN, passed away on Sunday, February 1st at Essentia Health First Care Living Center in Fosston. Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, February 5th at 2:00 PM at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Fosston with Father Manny Sundaram presiding. Visitation will be on Wednesday, February 4th beginning with a prayer service at 5:00 PM with the visitation to follow until 7:00 PM at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Fosston. There will also be reviewal for one hour before the funeral at the church on Thursday afternoon. Interment will be at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Fosston. The Carlin-Hoialmen Funeral Home of Fosston is in charge of the arrangements. Messages of condolence may be sent to www.carlinhoialmen.com.Orlean Jerome Agnes was born to parents John and Elodia Anna (LaCoursiere) Agnes on March 28, 1939 in Fosston, MN.  He graduated high school in 1956 from Fosston High School and after finding the love of his life peeling potatoes in the Trail café, he married Debbie Korsmoe at St. Charles Catholic Church in Trail, MN on June 18th, 1966.  After their marriage they lived on the Agnes family farm. Orlean was very active, he farmed with his father and worked at other various jobs such as hauling cream, working at the beet plant, and the potato plant,  working in the potato fields and blading roads and many more not listed.  Orlean enjoyed playing cards with the neighbors and  in the later years wood carving and working with stained glass. Orlean and Debbie travelled to numerous places in and out of the United States and spent time at their home in Arizona during the cold winter months.  Orlean's favorite thing to do was to watch his grandson Dalton play baseball and hockey as he rarely missed a game.  Orlean passed away on February 1, 2015 at Essentia Health First Care Living Center in Fosston at the age of 75 years old.  Left to mourn his passing are his son Jered (Theresa) Agnes of Fosston, his daughter Linda Amundsen of Thief River Falls, MN and one grandson Dalton and step-grandson Anthony Larson.  He was preceded in death by his parents John and Elodia Agnes, his loving wife Debbie Agnes and son-in-law John Amundsen.
