Olive Saeter, age 94, of Fosston, MN passed away on Thursday, June 20th at her son's home in Fosston. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 26th at 11:00 AM at Hope Lutheran Church in Fosston with Rev. Dr. Gerald White officiating. Visitation will be held for one hour before the funeral at the church on Wednesday, and interment will be at Poplar River Cemetery, Fosston. The Carlin-Hoialmen Funeral Home of Fosston is in charge of the arrangements. Messages of Condolence may be sent to www.carlinhoialmen.com.Ollie* Saeter was born August 1, 1918 in Dalton MN, baptized in Dalton and confirmed at Kingo Lutheran Church in Fosston. She attended Steinbrenner School through 8th grade and graduated Fosston High School in 1938. Her employment included the Green Lantern, Zethrens, Motz, the Scandinavian gift shop in Bagley, Boeing Aircraft in Seattle and, most recently, the Clearwater County Memorial Hospital.Her favorite activities and volunteer work included Faith Lutheran Church in Bagley and Hope Lutheran in Fosston (serving, quilting, alter guild), the Heritage House, Sons of Norway, her weekly bridge club, bowling, golf, and attending her grandchildren's activities. She was still gardening and canning at 94!She was preceded in death by her parents Mary Hansen and Hans Nesvold, husband John Saeter, sisters Edna and Alice, and brothers Henry, Elbert, Robert, Lloyd, and Raymond. She is survived by brother Ernest, sister Nina, son Bob Saeter and his wife Lora Lee, grandchildren Heidi Danos (Peter), Kelly Blaser (Kevin), Tim Saeter (Jill), Amy Stockinger (Andy), great grandchildren James and Elsa Danos, Clayton and Olivia Blaser, Courtney and Caden Shaver, Braelyn Saeter, and Buddy.*Ollie, otherwise known as Olive and legally, Olivia. It wasn't until needing her birth certificate when starting work at Boeing in her 20's that she discovered her legal name.
