Nimrod Brink, Jr., age 83, of Fosston, Minnesota passed away on Sunday, September 6th at First Care Hospital in Fosston. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday (September 11th) at the Carlin-Hoialmen Funeral Home in Fosston with the Rev. Sarah Lawton officiating. Interment will be in Rosehill Cemetery, Fosston at a later date. Friends may call for one hour prior to the service on Friday at the church. Nimrod Gustav Brink, Jr. was born May 12, 1926 in Minneapolis, Minnesota to Nimrod and Hjordis (Bang) Brink. He moved with his parents to Queen township in rural Fosston, Minnesota and assisted his parents on the farm. Later on, he purchased his own acreage which he farmed until his retirement in 1991. Following his retirement, he moved to Fosston. He resided at his home in Fosston until August of 2007 when he became a resident of the Midway Care Center.Nimrod passed away on Sunday, September 6, 2009 at the Midway Care Center at the age of 83 years.He is survived by his sister, Sonja (Mardell) Boyum of New London, WI; two nieces, Kimberly Brink of Long Beach, CA and Debra (Robert) Klasing of Coppell, TX; and one nephew, John Boyum of Milwaukee, WI.He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Franklin Brink, and nephew, Kevin Brink.
