Milo Roux

Milo Roux, age 91, of Fosston, MN, passed away on Thursday, January 14th, at Essentia Health Living Center in Fosston. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 3rd, at Hope Lutheran Church in Fosston with the Rev. Craig Wanamaker officiating. Interment will be in Poplar River Cemetery, Fosston. Visitation will be held on Friday, July 2nd, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Carlin Funeral Home in Fosston. Milo Darrell Roux was born on April 10, 1929 in Lengby, Minnesota to parents William and Esther (Vezina) Roux. He grew up southwest of Lengby and attended country school.

Milo was married to Doris Boardson on December 2, 1950. Together they resided in Fosston. After struggling with health issues, Doris passed away in 1977.

Milo was married to Eileen Mienert Olson on October 4, 1979 at Hope Lutheran Church in Fosston. Milo, Eileen and her son, Ross, made their home on the farm where Eileen and Ross lived in Brandsvold Township, north of Fosston. They lived on the farm until 2016 when they both moved into Cornerstone Assisted Living in Fosston. Eileen passed away on May 30, 2019.

Milo worked as a manager for Land O’ Lakes in Fosston for over 40 years until his retirement. In addition, he helped with Art Berge and Olson’s on their farms for many years.

Milo is survived by his son, Dennis of Bullhead City, AZ; step-son, Ross Olson (Jennifer McCoy) of Otsego, MN; grandchildren, Sheila Roux, Shawn (Christie) Roux, Erika Olson and Jessica Olson Hultman; two great grandchildren, Morgan and Rylee Roux; one sister, Audrey Austin of Florida; and sister-in-law, Gloria Roux. Nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

He was preceded in death by his wives, Doris and Eileen; two brothers, Marlin and Kenny; and two sisters, Curdella and Mildred.
