Mildred Bahnsen

Mildred Bahnsen, age 83, of Fosston, MN passed away on Thursday, October 25th at Essentia Health Living Center in Fosston. Memorial services for Mildred will be held at a later date, and the Carlin-Hoialmen Funeral Home of Fosston assisted with the arrangements.Mildred Evangeline White was born December 26, 1928 in Fosston, MN to parents Homer and Clara (Bakken) White. She grew up in and attended Fosston schools. She married Delbert "Del" Bahnsen on October 12, 1949 and they lived in the Park Rapids, MN area until his passing. Mildred was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith at Hope Lutheran Church in Fosston where she was a lifelong member.On Thursday, October 25, 2012 Mildred passed away from complications of a stroke at Essentia Health Living Center in Fosston at the age of 83 years.She is survived by her nieces and nephews, Sylvia (Clem) Sorgaard, Elaine Wilcox, Janet Reierson, Dale (Patty) Lucken, Jane (Dennis Wasik) Lucken, and Tom (Stephanie) Lucken, along with many great nieces and nephews. Mildred was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her two sisters, Lois (White) Lucken and Eleanor White, her nephew, Leroy Lucken, and her great niece, Suzanne (Sorgaard) Eichenberger.A memorial service for our beloved Aunt Mildred is being planned by the family for a future date.
