Mavis Beckstrom Lomen Rieb, age 87, of Fargo, ND, and formerly of Fosston, MN, passed away on Thursday (July 4th) at her home in Fargo. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday (July 9th) at Poplar Lake Lutheran Church, rural Fosston with the Rev. Alan Eppen officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the service on Tuesday at the church. She attended Pine Hill School and graduated from Fosston High School in 1944.In 1945 she married Joseph Lomen of Lengby and they had seven daughters.In 1967 she married LeRoy Rieb and they moved to Edgeley, ND where she lived for 45 years. LeRoy passed away in 2004. In August 2012 she moved to Fargo, ND. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Edgeley.Mavis was known for her subtle sense of humor, her down to earth values, her love of dancing and quilting, and her full cookie jar.She is survived by her daughters, G Joan Olson, Mesa, AZ; Gail Ireland, Mt. Vernon, IA; Pamela (Clark) Forte, Farmington, MN; Paulette (Tom) Hume, Rockland, WI; Vickie (Lindsay) Smith, Adrian, ND; Jackie (Owen) Feltis, Bismarck, ND; and Mary Lambert, Rush City, MN; her sister, Marilyn (Robert) Anderson, Fosston, MN; eleven grandchildren, and 22 great grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Wilmer and Alton; Joseph Lomen; LeRoy Rieb, and infant grandson, Lee Feltis.
