Mary Alice (Wayt) Farnell Bosselman was born in Wheeling, VA on April 29th, 1940 to Edgar Ray and Alice Virginia (Blowers) Wayt. She graduated from St. Petersburg High School in 1958 and Florida State University with a degree in Social Welfare in 1962. Go Seminoles! She was a member of the Alpha Gamma Delta Sorority and was a Kappa Delta Sweetheart.
Mary Alice loved to play tennis and volunteer at her boys swim meets. Mary Alice and George were married May 29, 1993. She had a wide variety of jobs in her life. She worked as a substitute teacher when her boys were young, later on as a legal secretary in Clearwater, Florida and as a real estate agent in Del Ray Beach, Florida before officially retiring and moving to Fosston, Minnesota in November 2013.
In all the years she lived in Minnesota she always remembered that winter as the most snow she had ever seen. She had her group of ladies she played bridge with on Thursday afternoons and always looked forward to it and would tell her family not to call during bridge time. Mary Alice loved to cook and bake and many of her recipes will continue on as family favorites. Her super thin sugar cookies and cranberry crunch for sure!
Mary Alice was always involved in the churches where she belonged throughout her life. Her church friends were always someone she would call on for help and guidance. Due to her declining health she was unable to attend Calvary Lutheran like she wanted but always listened on the radio or watched on TV.
Mary Alice is survived by her husband of almost 32 years George Bosselman, 3 sons Crockett (Bonnie) Farnell, Rob (Claire) Farnell, Clinton (Erica) Farnell, Step-daughter Terisa (Mike) Vig, 9 grandchildren - Barron Farnell, Quinn Farnell, Haley Farnell, Briland (Sydney) Schack-Farnell, Rhett (Maddie) Farnell, Hannah Farnell, Cooper Farnell, Trevor Vig, Tanner Vig. 2 great-grandchildren - Charlie Farnell and Aster Schack-Farnell.
