Marion Bullock, age 100, of Lengby, MN, passed away on Thursday (November 29th) at First Care Nursing Home in Fosston, MN. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday (December 3rd) at Fridhem Lutheran Church in Lengby with Scott Morey officiating. Interment will be in Fridhem Lutheran Cemetery, rural Lengby. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with a 7:00 p.m. prayer service on Sunday (December 2nd) at the Carlin-Hoialmen Funeral Home in Fosston. There will also be reviewal for one hour prior to the service on Monday at the church. Arrangements are with the Carlin-Hoialmen Funeral Home of Fosston and sympathy messages may be sent at www.carlinhoialmen.com.Ethel Marion Ringstad Bullock was born in Lengby, Minnesota November 4, 1907 to parents Ole K. and Cora (Hilliard) Ringstad. She had one brother, Knute Ringstad. She attended Lengby School and graduated from McIntosh High School with the class of 1925. She graduated from Bemidji Teachers Training and taught in Columbia Heights School near Lengby. She was married to Ernest Bullock on November 12, 1934. He died in 1951 leaving her with three small children. She worked as a clerk in the Lengby Post Office until she retired in 1970. She served many terms on the Lengby School Board. She was very active in the PTA and a lifelong member of the Lengby Improvement Club. She was a very active member of the Fridhem Lutheran Church and served as the organist for over 60 years. She spent many hours doing the seemingly unnoticed jobs that she thought needed to be done. She always sacrificed herself for her children and others. She enjoyed taking the Senior Bus to Bemidji and coordinated rides for Tri-Valley until she was 98. She enjoyed her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She celebrated her 100th birthday on November 4, 2007, a party which she enjoyed very much.She is survived by her three children, Charles (Marian) of Syracuse, NY, David of Forest Lake, MN, and Cathy (Lyle) Gutterud of Lengby; seven grandchildren, David (Gina) Gutterud of Stillwater, MN, Diane (Mike) Sundrud of Fosston, Dr. Gloria (Alex) Morris of Philadelphia, PA, Karen (Tom) Prigge of Cambridge, MN, Kristi (Jeremy) Mienert of Fosston, Victoria Bullock of Syracuse, NY, and Dan (Nikki) Gutterud of Fosston. She is also survived by fifteen great grandchildren, Ostan & Kendra Sundrud, Amber and Ashley Grundman, Anjali Gutterud, Lydia Morris, Hannah & Haley Prigge, Nicholas Smith, Aidan & Luke Bullock, Chelsey & Tristan Mienert, Jacob & Aaron Gutterud; and great great granddaughter, Paige Janssen. Her nephews, Gordon (Joyce) Ringstad, Richard (Doris) Ringstad, Calvin Ringstad, Wayne (Brenda) Ringstad, and niece Mary (Jarvis) Watnemo and cousins Milton (Beatie) Hilliard and Mildred Henschke.She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, brother Knute Ringstad, and many of her friends.She will be remembered as a wonderful mother, grandmother, and great grandmother and a great friend.
