Marilyn Hanson

Marilyn Elaine Hanson, age 53, of Crookston and formerly from Fosston, MN passed away on Saturday, March 1st at Johnson Place in Crookston. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 5th at 11:00 AM at Kingo Lutheran Church in Fosston with Rev. John Dalen officiating. Visitation will be held for one hour before the funeral at the church and interment will be at St. John's Cemetery, rural McIntosh, MN in the spring. She was baptized at the Fosston Hospital.Marilyn attended the Day Activity Center in Fosston and later moved to the Thorndale Group Home in Crookston, Minnesota and worked at the Day Activity Center in Crookston. She enjoyed going out to eat, shopping, playing cards, and it was her nature to have things very neat and orderly. She also enjoyed playing with her nieces and nephews.On Saturday, March 1, 2008 Marilyn passed away after a brief illness at Johnson Place in Crookston at the age of 53 years.Marilyn is survived by her mother, Jean of Fosston; five sisters, Cheryl (Marly) Rue of Fosston, Bonnie (Roger) Hemmingsen of Fosston, Barb Lee of Fosston, Lorie (Kevin) Erpelding of Bemidji, and Roxanne (Bob) Aaberg of Bemidji; four brothers, Bruce Hanson of Fosston, Richard (Liz) Hanson of Fosston, Lowell (Amy) Hanson of Bristol, WI and Kevin (Ann) Hanson of Fosston; two aunts, Joyce (John) Hanson and Ruby Malartz; and several nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her father, Blain Hanson; one brother, Harlan; her grandparents; one uncle, Francis Lee; and two nieces and two nephews, Baby Boy and Baby Girl Hemmingsen and Nick Aaberg and Katelyn Erpelding.
