Marian Enerson

Marian Enerson, age 93, of Menahga, MN and formerly of Fosston, MN, passed away on Tuesday (November 3rd) at the Green Pine Acres Nursing Home in Menahga. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday (November 9th) at Kingo Lutheran Church in Fosston with the Rev. John Dalen officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with a 7:00 p.m. prayer service on Sunday (November 8th) at the Carlin-Hoialmen Funeral Home in Fosston. There will also be reviewal for one hour prior to the service on Monday at the church. Arrangements are with the Carlin-Hoialmen Funeral Home of Fosston. An online guestbook is available at carlinhoialmen.com.Marian Evelyn Kathryn Reichenbach was born on May 24, 1916 in Welcome, Minnesota to parents Christian J. and Mary (Yost) Reichenbach. The family moved to a farm in Heier Township, Mahnomen County, Minnesota. She was baptized on July 22, 1917 in Handville Church and confirmed on June 29, 1929 in Kingo Lutheran Church in Fosston by Rev. Mortenson.Marian was united in marriage to Marvin Clifford Enerson on October 19, 1940 in Lengby, Minnesota at the parsonage by Rev. G.W. Sanstead. They bought a farm in Brandsvold Township in 1944 and raised four strong boys and a beautiful little girl! Marian was the best mom any child could want. She was a member of the Asphult Lutheran Church in Hill River Township until its closing in 1964 and then became a member of Kingo Lutheran Church in Fosston.Marian passed away on Tuesday, November 3, 2009 at Green Pine Acres Nursing Home in Menahga, Minnesota at the age of 93 years and 162 days.Survivors include her four sons, Edward (Tiina) of Kimball, MN, Marvel (Gaile) of Elbert, CO, Lowell (Paulette) of Osceola, WI, and Gaylen (Dianne) of Roberts, WI; and daughter, Joyce Enerson Burns of Erskine, MN.She is also survived by grandchildren, Michele, Kevin, Chad, Marty, Joelle, Heidi, Shane, Sheila, Keli, Karlene, Kristina and Chandler; step grandchildren, Sarah, Shelly, Erik and Tyler; great grandchildren, Ashley, Jesse, Patrick, LeaRae, James, Kayla, Karlene, Parker, Paige, Bailey, Paige, Piper, and Colin; step great grandchildren, Jocelyn, Wyatt, Taylor, Lily, Blake, Olivia, Mac, Isabella, Jamie and Ashley; great great grandchildren, Nevaeh and Ronny; one sister, Phyllis Jordet of McIntosh, MN; and sister-in-law, Gladyce Josephson of Fosston; and many nieces and nephews and many kids she considered grandchildren!She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin in 1995; her parents, Christian and Mary; sisters, Gertrude Torske and Christina Kruger; brothers, Ted and Robert Reichenbach; grandson Jamie Jolly; son-in-law, Jon Burns; and daughter-in-law, LaVonne Enerson.Honorary Pallbearers will be all family and friendsActive Pallbearers will be Chad Enerson, Kevin Enerson, Chandler Burns, Shane Enerson, Lester Reichenbach, and Terry Strom.
