Margie was born September 23rd 1959 to Leo Raymond (Tuffy) and Betty Moran in Crookston, MN.

From very early in life Margie had a personality that shined. She was quick to make friends, easy to talk to and made everyone feel so loved and cared for. Margie grew up in Erskine, MN attending elementary and high school, proudly graduating from Erskine High. Although she would hate to admit it, her beaming friendly personality was proven when she was crowned homecoming queen in 1978.

In 1986 Margie met the love of her life Rory Simonson; they were united in marriage on June 25th 1987. Together they were always ready to tackle life's greatest adventures. Early in their marriage they lived in Brainerd, MN where they owned and operated an Oofda taco stand. In 1992 they were blessed with one son Matthew Earl Simonson. Shortly after the birth of their son, they moved to the Simonson family farm in Mentor, MN where she continued to live up until her death.

One of Margie's greatest joys in life was the time spent at the family restaurant "Moran's Supper Club". From a young girl when her grandparents owned it, to working for her parents as a teenager. Once she returned back to the area she went to work for her brother Mike. She will forever be remembered for her speedy zippy service and contagious laugh. She had many regular frequent customers who visited not only for the delicious food but for her incredible friendship.
