Marcella “Marcy” Lentsch, age 94, of Mentor, MN, passed away on Saturday, September 7th, at Fair Meadow Nursing Home in Fertile, MN. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, September 13th, at Faith Lutheran Church in Mentor with the Rev. Michael Sletto officiating. Interment will be in Faith Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the service on Friday at the church. Marcella Mary Tadych was born on March 31, 1930, in Benton County, Minnesota to parents Frank and Ann (Sand) Tadych. Later, she moved to the Twin Cities. She was married to Alvin Olson on May 7, 1949, at Maple Lake, Minnesota. After their marriage, they moved to Winger, Minnesota where they operated a business for ten years. Then in 1962, they moved to Erskine where they operated a Recreation Center until his death.
On November 28, 1966, Marcella was united in marriage to Lloyd L. Strand in Sisseton, South Dakota. Then on April 12, 1996, she was married to Robert J. Lentsch in Sisseton.
Marcy was a faithful Christian and loved the Lord. She was active in the church and Sunday School at Bethel Bible Church in Mentor.
Survivors include one sister, Bonnie Qualley of Erskine, MN; five step-children, Wayne, Diane, LaRae, Jon, and Julie; three brothers-in-law, Donald, Joseph, and John; five sisters-in-law, Margaret, Rose, Mary Jane, and Barbara; as well as 11 step grandchildren; 13 step great grandchildren; and three step great grandchildren. Also surviving are 15 nephews; and several great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Alvin Olson, Lloyd Strand, and Robert Lentsch; her parents; brothers, Jerome, Richard, Delroy, Francis, and Roger; sisters-in-law, Mary, Kathy, Marion; infant sister, Janette; and mother-in-law, Rose Lentsch.
