Mabeline "Madge" Larson, age 88, of Fosston, MN, passed away on Wednesday (February 6th) at Essentia Hospital in Fosston. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday (February 16th) at Hope Lutheran Church in Fosston with the Rev. Paul Magelssen officiating. Interment will be in Hope Lutheran Cemetery, Fosston. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with a 7:00 p.m. prayer service on Friday (February 15th) at the Carlin-Hoialmen Funeral Home in Fosston. There will also be reviewal for one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the church. Arrangements are with the Carlin-Hoialmen Funeral Home of Fosston and messages of condolence may be sent at carlinhoialmen.com.Mabeline LaVonne Kjensmo was born on June 24, 1924 in Duluth, Minnesota to parents Oscar and Mabel (Kindem) Kjensmo. She grew up in Gonvick and graduated from Gonvick High School in 1942. Following high school, Madge went to secretarial/bookkeeping training in Bemidji, Minnesota.Madge was united in marriage to Kermit Larson on November 27, 1948 by Pastor Megorden. Together they lovingly adopted two girls, Kay and Dee. In addition to caring for her family, Madge worked at Farmer's State Bank in Fosston, the Fosston Hospital and the Land O' Lakes Creamery in Fosston. Kermit passed away on November 7, 2006. Madge has lived at Prairie Pines in Fosston since February of 2012. She was a member of Hope Lutheran Church in Fosston.Survivors include her daughter, Kay (Jim) Williams of Grand Forks, ND; three grandchildren, Melissa (Dave) Lombard of Austin, TX, Luke Johnson of Austin, TX, and Shelby Williams of Grand Forks, ND; one sister, Orinne (Lester) Anderson of Gordonville, TX; two sisters-in-law, Avis Larsen of East Grand Forks, MN, and Marion Larson of Erskine, MN.
