Lucille Enerson, age 96, of Fosston, MN and formerly of Winger, MN, passed away on Thursday (April 7th) at First Care Living Center in Fosston. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday (April 16th) at Hope Lutheran Church in Fosston with the Rev. Dr. Gerald White officiating. Interment will be in Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis at a later date. Family will greet friends for one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the church. Gladys Lucille Hansen was born on December 13, 1914 in Canby, Minnesota to parents John and Sophia (Christianson) Hansen. At the age of three she and her family moved to Sletten Township near Winger, Minnesota. She attended school in McIntosh and graduated from McIntosh High School in 1932. Lucille was united in marriage to August Melvin Enerson on December 25, 1941. After their marriage they resided in McIntosh. In 1948 they moved to St. Paul, Minnesota where they raised their two children, Joan and Elwood. August passed away on July 9, 1977. She remained in St. Paul until 2002 when she returned to the home farm. In recent years she has resided in the Prairie Pines Community and First Care Living Center in Fosston. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in St. Paul where she was active for many years. She enjoyed needle work, crocheting and sewing. Most of all she enjoyed the time spent with her family. Survivors include her daughter, Joan Enerson and her husband, Ken Anderson of Fairfax, VA; and son, Elwood Enerson and his wife, Leah Faudskar of Winger, MN; two grandchildren, Taylor and Matt. Nieces and nephews also survive. She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; brother, Clifford Hanson; and sister, Cedsel Hagen.
