Louis Ott, age 65, resident of Riverside Board and Lodge of McIntosh, passed away on Thursday (March 5th) at Essentia Hospital in Fargo, ND. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday (March 7th) at the McIntosh Community Center in McIntosh with the Rev. Bruce Blocker officiating. Family will greet friends for one hour prior to the service on Saturday morning at the community center. Arrangements are with Carlin Family Funeral Service, serving McIntosh. Messages of condolence may be shared at www.carlinfuneral.com.Louis John Ott was born on October 13, 1954 in Chicago, Illinois to parents Louis and Jeanne (McCormick) Ott. He went to Day School in Chicago and received his GED, also in Chicago. In 1985, he moved with his mother to California. He lived there until 1999 when he relocated to Roseau. Louis settled in at Riverside Board and Lodge in McIntosh in 2000 where he enjoyed nearly 20 years with his Riverside family. Louis was baptized at St. Mary's Church in Fosston and confirmed at Immanuel Lutheran Church in McIntosh on November 3, 2019. A very special day for him.He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and loved to attend when he could. He got around town on his three-wheel bike and was even known to ride it to church in the winter!Louis had a fantastic memory, especially for music. He would often recall songs, musical artists, and history of bands and band members. Music was his passion and he was a wealth of musical knowledge. Louis passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 5, 2020 at Essentia Health Hospital in Fargo at the age of 65 years. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.Survivors include his mother, Jeanne Ott of Buffalo, WY; sister, Carena (Ted) Wenckus of Story, WY; three cousins, Marc Cottone of New York, NY, Cindy D'Angelo of Sacramento, CA, and Diane Vertullo of Pittsburgh, PA; and his Riverside family.He was preceded in death by his father; and his brother, Josef.
