Lorraine Carlson, age 87, of McIntosh, MN, passed away on Saturday, July 20th, at Essentia Health Hospital in Fosston. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 1st, at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in McIntosh with the Rev. Gordon Syverson officiating. Interment will be in Salem Lutheran Cemetery, rural McIntosh. Family will greet friends for one hour prior to the service on Thursday, August 1st, at the church. Lorraine was baptized and confirmed at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in McIntosh, MN. She went to school in McIntosh graduating in 1949. After high school she attended Business school in Minneapolis and was employed by General Hospital and Fairview Southdale Hospital until her retirement. She then moved back to her hometown of McIntosh and has resided there for the past 25 years.Lorraine was a lifelong member of VFW Auxiliary 6891 in McIntosh.Survivors include her sister Evonne Hartel, Sister In-law Ruth Carlson, Nephews and Nieces: David (Colleen) Pederson, Roger Hartel, Kenny (Nancy) Hartel, Dean (Lorri Ann) Hartel, Mark (Peggy) Hartel, Dale Hartel, Brian Carlson, Philip (Amy) Carlson, Scot (Emily) Carlson and niece Jennifer (Chuck) Linsenmeyer. She is also survived by great nieces and nephews along with several cousins and many wonderful friends.She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Lloyd Carlson, sister Ila Pederson, brother in laws Pete Pederson and Orvin Hartel and nephews Lee Hartel and Jim Hartel.Blessed be her memory.
