Lillian Anderson

Lillian Anderson, age 91, of Fosston, MN, passed away on Wednesday (February 1st) at First Care Living Center in Fosston. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday (February 4th) at Kingo Lutheran Church in Fosston with the Rev. John Dalen officiating. Interment will be in St. Peter Lutheran Cemetery, rural Fosston. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the church. Arrangements are with the Carlin-Hoialmen Funeral Home of Fosston and messages of condolence may be sent at carlinhoialmen.com.Lillian Myhre was born on June 5, 1920 in Columbia Township, rural Fosston, Minnesota to parents Edwart and Indiana "Jennie" (Rotness) Myhre. She grew up in Columbia Township and was baptized and confirmed at Kingo Lutheran Church in Fosston. She attended rural school at the Pine Hill School in Columbia Township. Lillian was united in marriage to Elmer Oliver Anderson on May 27, 1947. After their marriage, they lived on the Anderson home farm in Columbia Township. Lillian and Elmer had no children. Elmer passed away on December 21, 1980. After Elmer's passing, Lillian continued to live on the farm until moving to the Bethany Home in Fosston in 1987. She has been a resident of First Care Living Center in Fosston since 1990.She was a lifelong member of Kingo Lutheran Church. She liked to crochet; making many bedspreads and tablecloths and also played the piano by ear.Lillian passed away on Wednesday, February 1, 2012 at First Care Living Center in Fosston at the age of 91 years.Survivors include one brother, Roy Myhre of Eveleth, MN and several nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; three sisters and two brothers.Pallbearers: Dean Sorgaard, Bjorn Sorgaard, Charlie Myhre, Jake Ferkul, Gary Bjerke, and Samantha Schake.
