Kenny Rose

Kenny Rose, age 82, of Fosston, MN, passed away on Saturday, December 7th, at Essentia Health Living Center in Fosston. Memorial services will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 12th, at Hope Lutheran Church in Fosston with the Rev. Jane Ekholm officiating. Interment will be in Hope Lutheran Cemetery, Fosston, at a later date. Family and friends may gather for one hour prior to the service at the church. Arrangements are with Carlin Family Funeral Service of Fosston.Kenneth Marvin Rose was born on August 13, 1937 in Crookston, Minnesota to parents Thorvald and Laura (Torgerson) Rose. Kenny's father died at a young age and he and his mother moved to Fosston. For a short time early in his life, Kenny worked traveling with the carnival. For his entire life, he loved going to fairs, carnivals and the circus. Kenny has lived at Bethany Board and Care in Fosston for the past 14 years. He was a member of Hope Lutheran Church and was the faithful Sunday bulletin folder for many years. Kenny will be remembered as a positive person and one who always had an encouraging word and a smile. For several years, he enjoyed going to Fosston High School home sporting events with his Bethany friends. The constant in Kenny's life was his faith in his Lord, Jesus Christ. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.Survivors include his cousin, Charles Rose of Fosston; his long-time roommate at Bethany, Bill Kusmaul; and his many friends.He was preceded in death by his parents.
