Clinton "Ken" Roux, age 75, of Fosston, Minnesota passed away on Tuesday (March 27th) at First Care Hospital in Fosston. A celebration of Ken's life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday (April 2nd) at Kingo Lutheran Church in Fosston with the Rev. John Dalen officiating. Interment will be held in the Spring in Kingo Lutheran Cemetery, Fosston. Friends may call from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30p.m. with a 7:30 p.m. prayer service on Sunday (April 1st) at the Carlin-Hoialmen Funeral Home in Fosston and for one hour prior to the service on Monday at the church. Military honors will be provided by the Spring Lake V.F.W. Post #2759 of Lengby, MN and the Tangen-Walstrom American Legion Post #114 of Fosston. Arrangements are with the Carlin-Hoialmen Funeral Home of Fosston. He grew up south of Fosston, Minnesota and graduated from Fosston High School in 1951. He entered the United States Army in February of 1953 and was stationed in Germany during the Korean War. He received his Honorable Discharge in February of 1955 and returned to Fosston.Ken was united in marriage to Gloria Halland on October 26, 1957 at Kingo Lutheran Church in Fosston. They have one son, Jon. They lived in Duluth, Minnesota for eight years and two years in Alaska before returning to Fosston in 1967. Ken was Deputy Registrar in Fosston for 30 years until his retirement.He loved to hunt, fish, play golf and whist. He was a life member of the Spring Lake V.F.W. Post #2759 of Lengby and was a member of the Tangen-Walstrom American Legion Post #114 of Fosston.Ken passed away on Tuesday, March 27, 2007 at First Care Hospital in Fosston at the age of 75 years.Survivors include his wife, Gloria of Fosston; his son, Jon of Crookston, MN; two sisters, Mildred Folstrom of Fosston, and Audrey Greene of Mansville, NY; one brother, Milo Roux of Fosston; and several nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Cordella; one brother, Marlin; his mother and father-in-law; and three brothers-in-law, Allen, Duane and Gifford.
