Keith Brovold

Keith Brovold, age 57, of Fosston, MN, passed away on Friday, March 27th, at his home with his family by his side, following a courageous battle with cancer. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, April 6th, at Kingo Lutheran Church in Fosston with the Rev. Dan Cole and Rev. Paul Magelssen officiating. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with a 7:00 p.m. prayer service on Sunday, April 5th, at Kingo Lutheran Church. Family will also greet friends for one hour prior to the service on Monday at the church. He lived in the Gully and Gonvick area until the age of 10 when his family moved to Hayfield, Minnesota for two years. They returned to the Fosston/Gully area where he resided and graduated from Fosston High School in 1976. Keith was united in marriage to Lucia Sorenson on June 22, 1996. Keith was a hard working and dedicated person. From the years 1970-1976 he worked for Hove Farms; 1976-1978 Northern Pipeline; 1978-1983 Muller Pipeline; 1983-1985 Fosston Motors; 1985 to the present Lenes Sand and Gravel; from1985 to the present he was an accomplished business owner who owned and operated Brovold Wells Inc. Keith enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson, playing golf, deer and pheasant hunting, fishing, gardening, endless hours of tormenting Taylor and her friends pulling them behind the boat, and spending time with family and friends. Keith passed away on Friday, March 27, 2015 at his home near Fosston, at the age of 57. He is survived by his wife Lucia; daughter, Taylor; son, Jacob Brovold; mother and stepfather, Shirley (Allen) Carver of McIntosh, MN; and mother-in-law, Bernadette Sorenson of Sioux Falls, SD. Also surviving are his brothers, Kent (Tina) Brovold of Tacoma, WA, and Steven (Denise) Brovold of Lakeville, MN; brother and sister-in-law, Tristan (Stacy) Sorenson of Lengby; stepsister Kim (Duane) Anderson of Wilton, MN; stepbrother Craig (Wendy) Carver of Prosper TX; and nephews and many other relatives. He was preceded in death by his dad, Lloyd Brovold; and father-in-law Rick Sorenson. He will be dearly missed by family, friends and customers.
