Judith Olson, age 98, of Fosston, MN passed away on Saturday, January 17th at First Care Nursing Home in Fosston. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 21st at 11:00 AM at Bethel Assembly Church in Fosston with Pastor Hollis Graves officiating. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 5:00 to 7:00 PM with a prayer service at 7:00 PM at Carlin-Hoialmen Funeral Home in Fosston, and there will also be reviewal for one hour before the funeral at the church. Interment will be at Queen Cemetery, rural Fosston, and the Carlin-Hoialmen Funeral Home of Fosston is in charge of the arrangements. She attended Sunnyside School rural Fosston.Judith was united in marriage to Elling Olson on October 31, 1934. On October 31, 2008 she celebrated her 74th anniversary with her husband Elling.She was a homemaker all her life and for a time worked at HLH Potato Processing and at Johnson Rest Home in Fosston. She will be remembered as a wonderful cook, especially her homemade bread and delicious donuts. Judith was an avid gardener, loved watching birds, and traveling. She was very proud of her family and loved to see her grandchildren and great grandchildren.Judith was a faithful member of Bethel Assembly Church of Fosston. On Saturday, January 17, 2009 Judith passed away at First Care Nursing Home in Fosston at the age of 98.She is survived by her husband Elling of Fosston; sons, James of St. Cloud, MN, Dennis (Judy) of Fisher, MN, David (Kathy) of Fosston, MN, Philip (Jean) of Fosston, MN, Eldon of Rush City, MN, Merlin (Pam) of Lengby, MN, and Daniel (Darnell) of Moorhead, MN; 24 Grandchildren; 39 Great Grandchildren; and three Great Great Grandchildren. She is also survived by two sisters, Martha Roue of Fosston, MN, and Esther Dearborn of Washington state along with many nieces and nephews.Judith was preceeded in death by her parents; son, Ron in 2008, daughter-in-law, Lois in 2007; sisters, Ruth Vigoren, Mary Johnston, and Mildred Broin; and brothers, Rueben and Joseph Mickelson.
