Jim Hartel, age 54, of Bradenton, FL and formerly of McIntosh and North Branch, MN, passed away on Friday, June 28th, in Bradenton. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 13th, at Mount Carmel Free Lutheran Church in McIntosh with the Rev. Karl Anderson officiating. Interment will be in Mount Carmel Cemetery, McIntosh. Family will greet friends for one hour prior to the service on Saturday (July 13th) at the church. James Amund Hartel was born April 5th, 1965 in Fosston, Minnesota to parents Orvin and Evonne Carlson Hartel. He was baptized and confirmed at Mt. Carmel Free Lutheran Church and attended school in McIntosh graduating in 1983. After graduation Jim went to Vocational school in Staples, Minnesota and earned a degree as a tool and die maker. He worked as a machinist for over 30 years in Minnesota and Florida.He resided and raised a family in North Branch, Minnesota and moved to Bradenton, Florida in 2011. His interests included his children's sporting events, demolition derbies, attending car races, tractor pulls, game nights, going to the beach and trying new adventures. Jim cherished the time he spent with his family most of all.He was a good man and a gentle soul and will be greatly missed and will be forever in all our hearts.Jim is survived by the love of his life, Lori, loving children; Jesse, Julie, Jeff, Stephanie and Grand-daughter Iris Eveline, mother Evonne, Brothers; Roger, Kenny (Nancy), Dean (Lorri Ann), Mark (Peggy), Dale "Boof", as well as aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews.He is preceded in death by his father, Orvin, Brother Lee and grandparents.Blessed by his memory.
