Jeane Fredericks

Jeane Fredericks, age 76, of Fertile, MN, passed away on Sunday (December 4th) at the Fair Meadow Nursing Home in Fertile with her family by her side. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday (December 8th) at Faith Lutheran Church in Mentor, MN with the Rev. Michael Sletto officiating. Interment will be in Faith Lutheran Cemetery, Mentor. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with a 7:00 p.m. prayer service on Wednesday (December 7th) at the Carlin-Hoialmen Funeral Home in Erskine, MN. There will also be reviewal for one hour prior to the service on Thursday at the church. Arrangements are with the Carlin-Hoialmen Funeral Home of Erskine and messages of condolence may be sent at carlinhoialmen.comJeane Faye Nelson was born to Herman and Mildred (Brekke) Nelson on May 9, 1935 in Strandquist, MN. She attended and graduated school from Strandquist High School. Jeane Nelson and Verner Fredericks were united in marriage on April 2, 1955. Jeane worked various part-time jobs including Red River Valley Winter Shows and the Mentor Public School. Most importantly, Jeane was a Homemaker and raised four children with Verner. Verner and Jeane spent most of their married life in the Crookston/Mentor area, recently moving to Fertile in 2010. Jeane enjoyed camping, fishing, a good card game as well as going for evening drives and visiting with her Children and Grandchild as well as the new Generation of Great-Grandchildren. Jeane Faye Fredericks passed away with family by her side on Sunday, December 4, 2011 at the Fair Meadow Nursing Home in Fertile at the age of 76 years.Jeane is survived by her husband of 55 years, Verner Fredericks, Fertile, MN; children, Donavan (Shelley) Fredericks, Red Lake Falls, MN, James (Melissa) Fredericks, Mentor, MN, and Jolene McCollum, Fertile, MN; son-in-law, Ron Gagner of Mentor, MN; 14 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; brothers, Merlyn Nelson and Gayhard (Irene) Nelson of Strandquist, MN; sisters, Lila Grandstrand, and Dorothy Borowicz of Stephen, MN and Ina Lou (William) Baumgartner of Roseau, MN. Joining her in Heaven is her daughter, Denise Gagner; parents, Herman and Mildred Nelson; and sister, Eulalie Stallock.
