James Sundrud

James Sundrud, age 68, of Gully, MN, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, May 18th, at his home. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, May 23rd, at the Carlin Funeral Home in Fosston with the Rev. Jill Torgerson officiating. Interment will be in Vernes Lutheran Cemetery, rural McIntosh, MN. Family will greet friends for one hour prior to the service on Thursday at the funeral home. James Allen Sundrud was born to Orvin and Sylvia Sundrud July 4, 1950 in Hill River Township. Jim graduated from Fosston High School in 1968. He then attended Staples Technical School for drafting. He married Marilyn Bachand. They had four daughters, Jennifer, Cynthia, Tamera, and Stacy.He enjoyed his years of farming, custom harvesting and working construction for Thorson, Inc. Jim also loved deer hunting, snowmobiling, ice fishing, playing cards, and watching a good old western.Survived by children: Jennifer (Shawn) Maroney of Inver Grove Heights, Cynthia (Jacob) Melby of Gonvick, Tamera (Craig) Anderson of Trail and Stacy (Tyler Swartz) Sundrud of Dunn Center, ND. Grandchildren: Lauren Melby, Dana Melby, Tatum Melby, Wyatt Anderson, Jesse Anderson, Alexa Anderson, Bella Anderson, and Korra Sundrud. Siblings: Ordean (Carol) Sundrud, Raymond (Lynn) Sundrud, and LuAnn (Mark) Rindahl. Preceded in death by his parents, Orvin and Sylvia Sundrud.
