Jack Reierson, age 64, of Fosston, MN, passed away on Saturday (August 27th) at Essentia Hospital in Fargo, ND. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday (August 31st) at Kingo Lutheran Church in Fosston with the Rev. John Dalen officiating. Interment will be in Kingo Lutheran Cemetery, Fosston. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with a 7:00 p.m. prayer service on Tuesday (August 30th) and for one hour prior to the service on Wednesday, all at Kingo Lutheran Church. Arrangements are with the Carlin-Hoialmen Funeral Home of Fosston.Jack Lynn Reierson was born on April 8, 1947 in Crookston, MN to Andrew "Clayton" & Ida (Wang) Reierson. He was baptized and confirmed at Kingo Lutheran Church in Fosston, Minnesota. He graduated from Fosston High School in 1966. Jack worked for a few years in Minneapolis and studied Mechanics at Dunwoody Institute. He later moved back to Fosston to begin farming with his father and uncles, and also worked in Fargo during the winter months.Jack was united in marriage to Ilene Kiecker on April 10, 1976 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in McIntosh, MN. They resided near Fosston and farmed in partnership with his uncle Don Reierson, until Don's retirement, after which he purchased and operated the farm for himself.Jack was actively involved in the local community - meeting his friends around town for morning coffee, participating in the Jaycees and Lions Club. He also served on the church council in various roles at Kingo Lutheran Church, was a clerk for Sletten Township and the Rosebud Cooperative Board.Jack enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, and loved to make everyone laugh. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, wood-working (often making toys for his grandchildren), making Santas and traveling with his wife, family, and friends in the US, Mexico, and Brazil.He is survived by his wife Ilene of Fosston, MN; son Mitchell Reierson of Minneapolis, MN; daughter Jamie (Daren) Muscha of Grand Forks, ND; daughter Kimberly Reierson of St. Paul, MN; grandchildren Brooke, Dalton & Colt Muscha; brother Bob Reierson, brother Steve Reierson, sister Deb (Dave) Illies of Fosston, MN.He was preceded in death by his parents.
