Inga Hanson

Inga Hanson, age 98, of Fosston, MN, passed away on Wednesday (November 21st) at First Care Living Center in Fosston. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday (November 26th) at Hope Lutheran Church in Fosston with the Rev. Paul Magelssen officiating. Interment will be in Hope Lutheran Cemetery, Fosston. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with a 7:00 p.m. prayer service on Sunday (November 25th) at the Carlin-Hoialmen Funeral Home in Fosston. There will also be reviewal for one hour prior to the service on Monday at the church. Arrangements are with the Carlin-Hoialmen Funeral Home of Fosston and messages of condolence may be sent at carlinhoialmen.com.Inga was born on March 7, 1914 in Fosston, Minnesota to parents Lewis and Amanda (Knutson) Olson. Inga married Eddie Hanson on October 24, 1931. They lived in Rosebud Township in rural Fosston for 39 years. They moved into Fosston in 1983 and Eddie passed away in 1995. Inga continued to live at home until she moved into Prairie Pines Assisted Living in Fosston. At the time of her death she was in First Care Living Center. We thank them for the wonderful care they gave her.She was a member of Hope Lutheran Church and very active. She missed going to church the last few years.Over the years Inga and Eddie loved to travel and spend time with family and friends. Inga worked at Koehler Floral in Fosston for many years. She loved flowers and was creative and artistic in every part of her life.Inga passed away on Wednesday, November 21, 2012 at First Care Living Center in Fosston at the age of 98 years.Survivors include three daughters, Marge Jeska (Sheldon) of Minneapolis, Audrey Merschman (Kenneth) of Bemidji, MN, and Ruthie Rystad of Fosston; 11 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren and 28 great great grandchildren; and sister-in-law, Grace Olson of Minneapolis.She was preceded in death by her husband, Eddie; her parents; two sisters, Mina Olson and Alice Edie; two brothers, Elling Olson and Kenneth Olson; and sons-in-law, Dale Jeska and "Bud" Rystad.
