Ina Mosser

Ina Mosser, age 94, from McIntosh, MN passed away on Sunday, December 20th at Pioneer Memorial Care Center in Erskine, MN. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 26th at 11:00 AM at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in McIntosh with Pastor Ryan Rasmussen officiating. Visitation will be held for one hour before the funeral at the church, and interment will be at Dovre Cemetery, rural Winger, MN. The Carlin-Hoialmen Funeral Home serving McIntosh is in charge of the arrangements. Sympathy messages may be sent to carlinhoialmen.com.Ina Edella Helling was born on March 23, 1915 in rural Winger, MN to Knute and Hilma (Tinberg) Helling. She attended Wide Awake School in rural Winger for 8 years.In her early years Ina worked as a housekeeper in the Winger and Fertile, MN area.On October 28, 1940, she married Willie Benson in Red Lake Falls, MN. They lived in Muskegon, MI for a few years, then moved to a farm in the Winger area. In 1958, they moved into McIntosh.Later she worked at the Grilla Café in Winger as a cook then onto the McIntosh School where she was Head Cook for about 20 years. After retiring from the school she worked at the BB Lunch for a few years.Willie passed away on December 24, 1974. On February 14, 1981, she married Red Mosser. They spent several winters in Donna, TX enjoying the warm weather. Ina loved spending time visiting and entertaining and cooking for her family.In the fall of 2005, Red and Ina moved to The Country Place apartments at Erskine, MN where they lived for 2 years before moving to Pioneer Memorial Care Center at Erskine. Red passed away on July 24, 2009. On Sunday, December 20, 2009 Ina passed away at Pioneer Memorial Care Center at the age of 94 years.Ina is survived by daughters, June Paulson of Blaine, MN and Kay (Wayne) Strand of Ramsey, MN; son, Raynold (Mary) of Grand Forks, ND; grandchildren, Wendell (Lucy) Paulson, Jeff (Lisa) Paulson, Shari Parent, Mike (Shelly) Strand, Shelly Strand, Angie (Kent) Hamre, Tricia (Brad) Scott, Richard (Kas) Benson, Robert (Val) Benson, Ryan Benson and Rose Benson; 18 great grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Patti Benson of McIntosh; sister-in-law, Irene Helling of Winger; several nieces and nephews; step-daughter, Sandy (Jim) Berger; and step-sons, Jim and Curtis Mosser.She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Willie Benson and Red Mosser; son, Richard Benson; brothers, Ebe and Kenneth Helling; sister, Iola Renna; and great granddaughter, Danielle Parent.
