Helen London, age 85, of Fosston, MN, passed away on Saturday, April 13th, at Essentia Health Living Center in Fosston. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 20th, at Hope Lutheran Church in Fosston with the Rev. Jane Ekholm officiating. Interment will be in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Fosston. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a 7:30 p.m. prayer service on Friday, April 19th, at the Carlin Funeral Home in Fosston. There will also be reviewal for one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the church. Arrangements are with the Carlin Funeral Home of Fosston and messages of condolence may be sent at www.carlinfuneral.com.Helen Evelyn Harthun was born on November 12, 1933 in Fosston, Minnesota to parents Charles and Emma (Freed) Harthun. She was baptized and confirmed at First English Lutheran Church in Fosston, attended the Duane Country School in Heier Township and Fosston High School.Helen was married to Hillard Larsen and they lived in Heier Township. Together they raised their family and farmed on the Larsen home farm. Hillard and daughter, Marian, tragically passed away in a motorcycle accident in 1970.She was married to Robert "Bob" London on December 4, 1971, along with her four children, Roger, Geraldine, Rebecca and Joann. On December 9, 1972, their son, James, was born. They continued to reside on the farm site in Heier Township. Helen stayed at home with the children while Bob worked earth moving and land clearing. Bob passed away on February 11, 2013.Helen enjoyed gardening, tending to her flowers, crocheting, knitting, cross stitching, and embroidery. She was a member of First English Lutheran Church in Fosston until its closing. She will be dearly missed.Survivors include her children, Roger Larsen of Fosston, Geraldine (Roger) Dahl of Winger, MN, Becky Johnson of Fosston, Joann (Dave) Nelson of Thief River Falls, MN, and Jim (Jamie) London of Fosston; many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; one brother, Floyd (Ella) Harthun of Marshalltown, IA. Nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.She was preceded in death by her husbands, Hillard Larsen and Robert London; daughter, Marian; granddaughter, Sarah Johnson; grandsons, Roger Allan Dahl, William "Billy" Johnson and Andrew "Andy" Johnson; and two brothers, Harold and Emery.Honorary Pallbearers: Heier Township Hobby ClubActive Pallbearers: Brenden Casavan, Allan Dahl, Danny Brtek, Jesse Dahl, Dave Nelson, and Shaun Page.
